The photo is taken from the Kulanaokuaiki Campground campground in the park. Mauna Loa is the world's largest shield volcano in terms of volume and area covered. Mauna Loa, an active volcano, means "Long Mountain" in Hawaiian and is one of the five volcanoes that make up the Big Island of Hawaii.
