Add to Cart Add to Lightbox DownloadThe Mendenhall Glacier runs roughly 12 miles, originating in the Juneau Icefield, near Juneau, Alaska. The US Forest Service visitor center at the glacier, dedicated in 1963, was the first such center in the nation. The glacier is located 12 miles from downtown Juneau. Each year, 465,000 curise ship passengers visit the Mendenhall Glacier.
